The Combat Troodon is a precision made, out-the-front tactical knife. It is 25% larger than our flagship, the Troodon. It brings the slender handle, contoured shape, radical design elements, and a sophisticated internal mechanism which improves operational functionality and reliability to a larger scale. The Combat Troodon is designed for a broad spectrum of utility and close quarter combat applications. Microtech Combat Troodon OTF automatic knife is named after the Troodon dinosaur and is the larger version of the Troodon OTF knife which debuted in 2006. The Combat Troodon is one of the largest OTF production knives available with an overall length of 9.5 inches. The Microtech Combat Troodon features a 3.8″ stainless steel double edge dagger style blade. The 5.75″ handle is anodized aluminum and features a bead blast finish hardware, glass breaker and pocket clip. Yes this is a larger OTF knife but it feels great in the hand thanks to the jimping in the handle. The aluminum handle features a double action thumb slide that allows for super fast automatic blade deployment and retraction with the push of your thumb.
